Reflections on our Grand Sponsorship of the 2026 Athens Negotiations Tournament
There is a specific kind of electricity that fills a room when the world’s brightest young minds gather to solve complex problems. It’s the sound of strategy, the measured pause before a counter-offer, and the satisfying click of a deal being struck. This year, the Athens University of Economics & Business (AUEB) hosted the 2026 Athens Negotiations Tournament, and as a Grand Sponsor, Dialectica was right in the thick of it.
Teaming up with the Athens Negotiations Tournament represents for us a fundamental investment in the "shapers" of tomorrow’s business landscape. The Dialectica heart beats strongest where young professionals transition into innovators, and there is no better proving ground for that transformation than the negotiation table.
A Global Stage for Talent
We saw incredible momentum across both the National and newly established World Edition. The National Final brought together 26 teams and 78 participants, while the World Edition Final hosted 14 teams and 42 participants from 18 universities across 16 different countries.
Throughout the event, Dialectica leaders stood alongside the participants, bridging the gap between academic excellence and real-world application.
Stamatis Voglis, our EMEA General Manager, shared a candid look at his own career trajectory, illustrating how every major milestone was paved by a decisive negotiation. Taking a more operational dive, Archontia Tsiampali. Global Vice President, Client Service, and Angeliki Sovolou, Vice President, Client Service, pulled back the curtain on our business model, highlighting how sharpening one's negotiation toolkit is a non-negotiable part of our everyday life.
In a high-energy panel, Achilleas Tzamtzis, Vice President, Client Service, Konstantinos Zikopoulos, Vice President, Client Service, and Stella Theodoridou, Senior Manager, Operational Excellence, shared the tactical "tips and tricks" that separate a good negotiator from a great one. Meanwhile, Panagiotis Papachristofilou, our Global Head of Marketing & Communications, offered his expertise as a mentor and judge during the National Final, helping mold the finalists through direct, high-stakes feedback.
