In one single afternoon, Maria Alejandra Escobar heard her name called three times.

She joined Dialectica's Bogota office one year and a few months ago. At the last all team meeting, minutes apart, she was recognized for embodying Respect, one of the company's core values, named a top performer in the office, and celebrated for her promotion to Senior Associate.

You've been recognized on several occasions during your tenure at Dialectica Bogota, including top performer and value ambassador. How would you describe what it means to be recognized at Dialectica?

Recognition goes beyond having my effort and persistence acknowledged. It is a reminder of how much I am capable of achieving and how far I can go. Every recognition has reinforced the importance of staying committed to my goals, while highlighting the impact of the guidance and support of the incredible team around me.

Your background is in Logistics and International Marketing, not the typical path into a B2B research career. How has that academic foundation shaped the way you approach your role at Dialectica?

Both fields taught me to look at businesses from a broader perspective, understanding how different departments interact and contribute to the overall organization. That perspective helps me understand client needs and connect the right expert with the right business question, while grasping the context behind each request.

Respect is one of our core values, and it's the one you were personally recognized for embodying. What does practicing Respect look like day to day on your team?

Respect is not simply a value on a wall. It means respecting the people around you, but also your work and the standards you set for yourself. It shows in how you communicate, collaborate, and take ownership of what you deliver, and it creates an environment where people feel valued and motivated to perform at their best.

For someone considering a career at Dialectica, what does it actually take to perform at a high level?

High performance starts with attitude. It is about going the extra mile, continuously learning, and challenging yourself to become better every day. It also means being comfortable with failure. Success rarely comes from getting everything right the first time. It comes from learning from mistakes, adapting, and pushing forward.

You mentioned your journey at Dialectica has challenged you and helped you grow both professionally and personally. What has been the toughest moment so far, and how did you push through it?

Taking on new challenges as I progressed has been the toughest part. Dialectica offers a fast paced career path, constantly exposing you to greater responsibilities, but growth also means learning quickly and staying accountable. Focusing on what I could control and staying open to feedback helped me push through, and made me more self aware, confident, and resilient.

What is the "secret ingredient" that makes Dialectica Colombia a Great Place to Work?

Definitely the people. Dialectica brings together incredible talent, and one of the things I value most is how much you can learn from those around you. Everyone comes with different experiences and strengths, creating an environment where you are constantly growing.
