Bogotá's biggest celebration of women in running, Carrera de la Mujer, brought together more than 15,000 women this year, welcoming runners of every level without fear of judgment or unrealistic standards. On early September, 25 Dialecticans joined that wave at Parque Simón Bolívar for our very first appearance at the event, choosing their own challenge across 5K, 10K, 15K, and 21K distances.

Personal Milestones Beyond the Finish Line

For some of our runners, the race carried a meaning that went far beyond the finish line. Camilo Ayala, Digital Communications and Content Associate, shared why he ran:

"I ran for the women in my home. My mum, who faced cancer twice and twice showed me what it means to never fold. In her hardest moments, her smile was what held us all together. And my partner, whose strength and determination inspire me to be better every day. This race was my way of honoring them both."

Building Team Spirit Across Every Distance

Spots for this founding team were limited, and the excitement to be part of it showed. From seasoned runners chasing a new personal best to first timers ready to cross their very first finish line, our runners represented the Bogotá office with pride from the starting grid to the finish.

Maria Alejandra Camacho, CST Manager, captured that mix of effort and camaraderie:

"Whether we were sprinting for a personal best or just enjoying the route, tackling this 5K as a team was an absolute blast. It's the perfect distance to challenge yourself while still having enough breath to cheer each other on."

Dialectica Culture: Connecting Outside the Office

Two very different stories, one shared finish line. Beyond the medals and the finisher photos, days like this are a reminder of what our Dialectica community looks like outside the office—colleagues coming together around a shared goal and pushing each other forward, one kilometer at a time.
