Running for the Planet: Dialectica Takes on Bogotá’s Carrera Verde

To celebrate Earth Month, a team of 30 Dialecticians from our Bogota office recently traded their office attire for running shoes. They joined hundreds of others in the city’s streets for Carrera Verde 2026, a race organized by the renowned Fundación Natura dedicated to the future of our planet.

As a leading Colombian NGO, Fundación Natura has spent decades protecting the country’s most important ecosystems. This year, the event was held under the theme, "Entre corredores, conectamos" (Between runners, we connect). It was a powerful reminder that just as athletes connect on the track, we must work to reconnect our natural world.

Restoring Colombia’s "Green Corridors"

The race highlights a vital environmental mission: the restoration of "green corridors" (corredores verdes). These are strategic strips of land that connect isolated forests, wetlands, and moorlands.

Much like how our office team works better when connected, these ecological corridors allow plants and animals to move, reproduce, and survive in landscapes that have been broken up by urban growth. By supporting this race, Dialectica is helping to strengthen Colombia’s resilience to climate change through carbon capture and soil protection.

Voices from the Track

The energy on the day was fueled by both personal passion and team spirit. For Monica Gonzalez, a long-time runner who participated in her first race back in 2007, the event was a chance to merge her personal hobbies with her professional pride.

"Having initiatives like this truly strengthens my commitment and reminds me how much I love working here. I will always wear my race bib with immense pride to continue representing this company."

For others, the race was a moment to reflect on the relationship between our community and the environment. Mario Ramirez noted that seeing the team bond for such a meaningful cause was the highlight of his experience.

"It’s amazing to see how these activities make people bond and wish for a healthier, more eco-friendly society. This is my invitation for a greener and happier place in this little piece of paradise we call home."
