On July 4th, a group of Dialectica team members in Montreal took time out of their week to give back to a cause that deeply matters—supporting women in crisis. The team spent the day volunteering at Le Chaînon, the city’s largest women’s shelter, which offers emergency housing and vital support services to women facing difficult circumstances.

As part of Dialectica’s global Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy, this initiative is one of many aimed at making a positive difference in the communities where we live and work.

Our Montreal volunteers—Valentina Vera G., David Hassard, Anna Belford, Raima Ahmed, and Adrienne Agwaro—rolled up their sleeves to support one of Le Chaînon’s donation-based thrift stores. These stores are essential to funding the shelter’s day-to-day operations and housing services.

Throughout the day, the team helped sort donations, organize inventory, price merchandise, and assist customers—tasks that keep the stores running efficiently and help ensure that women in need continue to receive support. By participating directly in this effort, our colleagues played a hands-on role in strengthening one of Montreal’s most impactful nonprofits.

“Volunteering at Le Chaînon was a great experience,” shared Valentina Vera G., Manager at Dialectica Montreal. “I got to support an important cause by giving my time and helping with what they needed. I also had the chance to connect with colleagues from different teams that I don’t usually work with. I highly recommend volunteering—it’s a meaningful way to give back.”

If you’re based in Montreal or elsewhere in Quebec and are looking for a way to make a tangible impact in your community, consider supporting Le Chaînon. Whether through volunteering, donating goods, or contributing financially, there are many ways to get involved and stand behind a cause that provides safety, dignity, and hope to women in need.
