About The Role

As an Account Executive (Japanese-speaking) in the Expert Calls – Client Service Team, you will act as a trusted knowledge broker between our clients and industry experts. You will partner closely with clients to understand their critical knowledge gaps and connect them with experts whose experience and insights directly address their strategic questions.

This role combines client-facing responsibility, research excellence, and commercial ownership, offering a fast-paced environment with significant learning and career growth opportunities.

Your key responsibilities shall include:

Commercial Execution:

  • Analyze client project briefs to identify knowledge gaps and define expert requirements.
  • Conduct in-depth industry and company research to identify the most relevant experts.
  • Engage with experts to screen, assess, and validate their expertise for specific client projects.
  • Apply critical thinking and agility to ensure expert selection aligns precisely with client needs.
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality, data security, and client trust throughout all engagements.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, acting as their trusted advisor and primary point of contact.
  • Proactively understand clients’ evolving needs, challenges, and strategic priorities to deliver added value.
  • Support clients hands-on by sourcing and connecting them with relevant experts, particularly during early-stage engagements and new client onboarding.
  • Conduct regular client visits to strengthen relationships, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services.

Business Development:

  • Take an active, frontline role in business development initiatives, including prospecting and proposal development.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to increase brand visibility and generate new business leads.

Requirements

  • Fluent English and Native/Fluent Japanese are mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; studies in Business Management, Economics, or related fields are a strong plus.
  • 3+ years in Expert Network industry, Management Consulting, Strategy/Commercial roles; or in relevant backgrounds (ESS, Headhunt, B2B Sales, Consulting, ...).
  • Ability to interact professionally and credibly with clients and senior industry executives; a proven track record of managing complex client relationships
  • A commercial, hands-on approach with proactive attention to developing people.
  • Comfortable working in diverse, cross-functional teams and contributing to a positive, high-performance environment.
  • Results-oriented, able to manage time and priorities effectively while maintaining a positive, “can-do” attitude.
  • A client service mentality, which means you are committed to go beyond your clients’ needs to deliver true value
