Business Operations Lead - Global Insights

Location Greece
Team Insights (PI)

The Role

This is an operational leadership role that sits at the intersection of high-volume execution and strategic transformation. You will manage a global research engine responsible for delivering proprietary insights to the world’s top investment professionals. Your mandate is twofold: drive the daily "Business As Usual" (BAU) operations to hit rigorous speed and quality targets, while simultaneously deploying elite problem-solving skills to diagnose friction, fix broken processes, and "unlock" long-term capacity.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership & High-Stakes Delivery

  • High-Velocity Execution: Lead the daily operations of the Insights team, ensuring projects are staffed and executed under tight turnaround times. You must possess the resilience to maintain high quality standards even when deadlines are measured in hours, not days.
  • Performance Management: Maintain a relentless focus on operational metrics (e.g., speed-to-delivery, funnel conversion, error rates). You will run the daily/weekly operational cadence to ensure the team consistently hits results.
  • Team Development: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Associates and Managers, driving accountability for performance and career progression.

Stakeholder Management & Commercial Alignment

  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Act as the strategic bridge between the Research/Operations unit and the Commercial/Sales teams. You will manage expectations, negotiate priorities during peak demand, and ensure alignment between what is sold and what is delivered.
  • Navigating Ambiguity: You will frequently encounter conflicting priorities from senior stakeholders. Your job is to cut through the noise, make data-backed trade-offs, and communicate decisions clearly to maintain trust across the business.

Strategic Problem Solving ("The Unlock")

  • Root-Cause Analysis: Diagnose specific bottlenecks in the research value chain (e.g., "Why is outreach conversion dipping in Sector X?"). Break these problems down into concrete causes—tooling, scripts, or training gaps.
  • Transformation Initiatives: Design and roll out systemic solutions (e.g., new tech tools, screening protocols) to fix these issues permanently, ensuring the team can scale effectively without linear headcount growth.

Requirements

  • Experience: 4+ years of professional experience.
  • Must have: A background in Strategy Consulting (top-tier firm) OR a high-impact Operations role in a high-growth scale-up.
  • Operational Resilience: Demonstrated ability to work in a high-pressure environment with strict deadlines. You are results-oriented and willing to do whatever is needed to deliver.
  • Stakeholder Savvy: Strong influencing skills with the ability to push back constructively and manage senior stakeholders.
  • The "Builder-Operator" Mindset: You are comfortable alternating between deep strategic problem-solving (fixing the machine) and hands-on management (running the machine).
  • Location: Based in Athens (strongly preferred) or Thessaloniki.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Compensation: Market-leading base salary with performance-based bonuses.
  • Healthcare: Comprehensive health insurance plan.
  • Flexibility: Hybrid work model with extra personal/flex days.
  • Culture: A dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with weekly wellness activities and sponsored team events.
