Business Operations Associate - Origin On Demand
About the Role
- As a Business Operations (Senior) Associate, you will be part of an exciting new team with an ambitious mandate, gaining start-up experience within an established business and brand. You will focus on high-quality investment content in priority industries, contributing to the scaling of our company reports offering for private equity professionals, investment bankers, and consultants.
- You will take ownership of the end-to-end content production process — from identifying and tracking high-growth private companies to producing actionable insights for our clients — while contributing to the automation and scaling of our data collection processes.
What you will do
Content Production & Research
- Own the end-to-end process of content production, including company profiling and market mapping.
- Take charge of identifying information sources, gathering and interpreting data, executing analysis, and presenting insights about high-growth companies.
- Research and screen PE-owned and privately held businesses through various sources.
- Produce key insights focusing on market trends, company financials, competitive landscape, and potential due diligence risks.
- Implement processes to systematically gather and analyze data to create content for private equity professionals and other users.
Expert Engagement
- Conduct 1-on-1 interviews with industry specialists to surface sector, industry, and company-level insights.
- Interact confidently and professionally with senior industry executives.
- As you grow within the company, lead junior team members in conducting expert interviews and collecting and presenting unique insights.
Operations & Collaboration
- Contribute to the automation and scaling of the data collection process, improving workflows and accelerating quality assurance.
- Maintain high standards for content production, including quality control, timeliness, and relevance.
- Participate in client feedback sessions and support the team in preparing for product demonstrations and business development activities.
- Collaborate with business development teams and account managers to drive product monetization.
- Track key operational KPIs and contribute to consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; studies in Business Management, Economics, or related fields are a strong plus.
- 1–4 years of experience in Strategy Consulting or Strategy/Commercial roles.
- Exposure to commercial due diligence processes is a strong advantage (e.g., Investment Banking, Consulting).
- Genuine passion for building a new product and navigating ambiguity with curiosity and confidence.
- Demonstrable experience in researching, summarising, and presenting content to a high standard.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven track record of conveying information clearly and effectively.
- Proven ability to interact professionally and credibly with clients and senior industry executives.
- Meaningful experience in driving expert interviews with a large number of individuals and leading these conversations with ease.
- Comfortable working in diverse, cross-functional teams and contributing to a high-performance environment.
- Proficient in English.
